This notice describes the launch version of WattForHome, an information website about backup power for Nigerian homes. Contact hello@wattforhome.com with a privacy question or a request concerning information you have sent us.
Using the calculator
The battery runtime calculator runs in your browser. Its form does not submit your capacity, appliance load or other entries to WattForHome, and it does not save those entries to browser storage. Reloading the page restores its example values.
Visiting the website
The site uses WordPress and Hostinger hosting. Requests to the server can generate technical records such as the requested address, request time, IP address and browser information. These records support hosting, security and troubleshooting. Hostinger describes its handling of personal information in its privacy policy.
WordPress uses cookies for functions such as login sessions and checking whether a browser accepts cookies. You do not need a reader account to use the published guides or calculator.
Contacting us
If you email us, your email address, message and any attachments are processed through the email services involved in delivering and handling that correspondence. We use the information to address your enquiry or correction. Please avoid sending passwords, financial account details or identity documents.
Information may remain in correspondence records, hosting logs and backups according to the relevant service settings. To ask about a particular record, or request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied, contact the address above. Any response must take account of information we can verify and applicable retention requirements.
Advertising and analytics
At launch, we have not added Google AdSense or Google Analytics to these pages. If advertising, analytics, newsletter forms or other data-collection features are introduced, this notice and any necessary visitor choices must be updated to describe them before they are used.
Links to other websites
Guides link to manufacturers and other sources. Visiting those links takes you to websites with their own privacy practices. WattForHome does not control how those sites process your visit.
